Cross Country Skiing

We have approximately 14 kilometers of machine groomed cross country ski trails waiting for your tracks. If you feel adventuresome we have maps of our “off the path” trails. We also offer rental equipment: various sets of boots, skies, and poles.

Our cross-country trails start and end at the house (virtually from your room) and you travel over open fields, around and/or across a lake, through valleys, and hills amidst the boreal forest of the Lakeland.

There are short or longer loops 1 to 8 kilometers that return you to the house at many junctions. Each trail will bring you a different experience and view.

General Pricing & Information

• Trails use for B&B guests and casual day use visitors (general public) at $8.00 per adult and $6.00 per child <12.
• Ski equipment rentals available for everyone from $10.00 to $15.00.
• Approx 21 sets of equipment of various sizes are available.
• Lessons are available at a rate of $24.00 per hour.
• Guided trips are available at a rate of $24.00 per hour
• Snowshoes for rent $8.00 per person. Open areas only (not on ski trails).

Down-Hill Skiing

We are very fortunate to have the Kinosoo Snow Resort 8 kilometers directly north of Hamilton House. They are set-up to offer an exciting day of downhill skiing enjoyment having 2 chair lifts, and magic carpet tow, leading to multiple exciting runs, with a phenomenal snow boarding park and family tubing park. Their facility has a 4000 sq ft. lodge with equipment rentals, licensed dining room and awesome family cafeteria room.
